Role Description The Private Tutor role at Tutoreal is a contract, in office position based in Montreal, QC. In this role, the tutor provides individualized academic support to students in one-on-one or small-group settings, following Tutoreal’s structured yet flexible methodology. Daily responsibilities include planning and delivering tailored lessons, assessing student progress, adjusting teaching strategies, and preparing relevant learning materials.
The tutor communicates regularly with caregivers or guardians about progress, goals, and areas for improvement, while maintaining accurate records of sessions and outcomes.
The role also involves collaborating with other tutors and staff to share best practices and uphold Tutoreal’s standards of professionalism and student-centered care.
Qualifications
- Strong instructional and tutoring skills, including the ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles.
- Experience in lesson planning, academic goal setting, and progress assessment for elementary, secondary, or post-secondary learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with students and maintain qualified relationships with families.
