Key Responsibilities
Act as a procurement business partner and participate in planning sourcing initiatives for the qualified services category
Participate in preparing and conducting requests for proposals and calls for candidates
Manage the consultant registry
Analyze bids and negotiate with suppliers
Carry out specific assignments and contribute to projects affecting the department’s operations
Analyze specific situations and recommend appropriate solutions
Participate in procurement intelligence and market-monitoring activities
Contribute to implementing the department’s strategic procurement plan in alignment with the organization’s business objectives
Ensure compliance with policies, directives, standards, and procedures related to the acquisition of goods and services
Collaborate with internal partners to define and assess business needs for acquiring goods and services
Conduct acquisitions through requests for quotations and calls for tenders
Draft recommendations, negotiate agreements, and arrange contract execution
Monitor implementation, make the necessary adjustments during the contract term, and evaluate suppliers at the end of the contract
Manage the procurement process for professional services
Develop and maintain business relationships and agreements with suppliers
Ensure contract compliance, monitor price trends, and analyze renewals
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration (a specialization in procurement or supply management is considered an asset), law, or another relevant field
At least one year of relevant experience
Excellent knowledge of the market, practices, trends, and issues related to procurement and insurance sectors (an asset)
Functional proficiency in English due to the nature of the duties, work tools, or interactions with English-speaking colleagues, partners, clients, or suppliers, or to support the company’s growth objectives
Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in procurement processes, including sourcing initiatives, contract negotiation, and supplier management, while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and standards. Strong analytical skills are essential for evaluating bids and market trends to support strategic procurement objectives.
