The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
- Design and test HVAC equipment and systems using SolidWorks and other engineering software tools.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize system performance, efficiency, cost, and manufacturability.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation for HVAC projects.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams, engineers, designers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC systems.
- Provide service support to existing clients by addressing inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Stay current with trends and advancements in HVAC technology and engineering.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or completion of a Mechanical Engineering Technology program.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience is requried.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant design tools.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, standards, and testing related to HVAC systems; familiarity with electrical and controls is an asset.
- Previous experience with sheet metal manufacturing processes is considered an asset.
- Experience with MRP or ERP systems is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
