Role Description The Quality Assurance Team Member is a full-time, on-site role based in Coquitlam, BC. This role is responsible for monitoring and verifying product quality throughout the production process, including inspecting ingredients, overseeing in-process controls, and conducting final product checks against established standards. The team member will assist in implementing and maintaining quality assurance procedures, documenting quality findings, and supporting internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Daily tasks include collaborating with production staff, reporting non-conformances, helping to develop corrective and preventive actions, and promoting continuous improvement in food safety and product consistency.
Qualifications
- Robust foundation in Quality Control and Quality Assurance, with the ability to apply quality standards on the production floor.
- Experience or knowledge in Quality Management, including maintaining documentation and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in a food or manufacturing environment.
- Skills in Quality Auditing, such as participating in internal audits and supporting compliance reviews.
- Attention to detail, excellent observational skills, and the ability to identify and report quality issues clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, confectionery, or a related industry is an asset.
- Relevant education or training in quality assurance, food science, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
