Our client is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to support the procurement and inventory functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting production requirements through effective purchasing and inventory coordination. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

Coordinate the procurement of ingredients, packaging, supplies, equipment, and services

Create, maintain, and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials

Work closely with suppliers to confirm pricing, quantities, lead times, and delivery schedules

Communicate material shortages, delays, and supply issues to key stakeholders

Maintain accurate purchasing records within ERP and inventory management systems

Support supplier performance management and assist with supplier onboarding activities





Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities to support production requirements

Identify potential supply risks and implement proactive solutions to prevent disruptions

Support inventory optimization initiatives and material planning efforts

Your strengths include:

2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain roles

Experience within food manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment considered an asset

Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems

Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory control, and material planning principles

Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communication and supplier relationship management abilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and related business systems

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced environment and work collaboratively across departments
