This position is ideal for a lawyer who is looking to accelerate their development as a litigator. You will work directly with experienced counsel, receive hands‑on mentorship and take on increasing responsibility for your own files as your experience grows.
You Will Have The Opportunity To Work on sophisticated insurance defence and civil litigation matters
Gain meaningful exposure to clients and litigation strategy
Participate in questionings, mediations, court appearances and trials
Work closely with experienced counsel who are committed to mentorship and professional development
Develop a practice within one of Canada’s leading litigation teams
Responsibilities Manage and contribute to a variety of insurance defence and civil litigation matters
Draft pleadings, briefs, applications, opinions and other litigation materials
Conduct legal research and provide strategic recommendations
Assist with and, as experience permits, conduct questionings, mediations, and chambers applications
Contribute to the strategic management of complex and high‑profile matters
Deliver exceptional client service standards through effective communication and file management




Participate in career development and business development activities that support practice growth
What will help you succeed in this role?
We Are Looking For a Lawyer Who Brings 2-4 years of post‑call civil litigation experience
Experience in insurance defence litigation is preferred; candidates with solid civil litigation experience from other practice areas are encouraged to apply
Familiarity with the Alberta Rules of Court and litigation procedures
Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
Sound professional judgment and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal
Strong organizational skills and time management abilities
A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional client service
