Role Responsibilities
Support business development activities by maintaining and developing relationships with existing and current potential clients.
Plan and manage activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and acts in the capacity of hiring manager to recruit project personnel.
Confer with project staff to outline workplan and to assign duties, responsibilities,
and scope of authority.
Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Lead and execute 3-5 medium sized projects.
Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.
Prepare project reports for management, client, or others.
Update dashboards for project metrics (status, completion, risks, etc.).
Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
Provide constructive feedback to improve individual performance.
Plan and schedule employee training to ensure proper skill and knowledge levels.
Adhere to all client and Company policies, procedures, and standards.
Special projects or other duties as required.
Qualifications
Engineering degree (mechanical, chemical, industrial, electrical)
P.Eng. or working towards obtaining license in Ontario (P.Eng. required for Project Engineer role)
Minimum of 6-8 years pharmaceutical engineering experience
Practical experience in Project Management methodologies
Strong leadership skills
Hands-on experience in design, User Requirement Specification (URS), and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
Skilled in writing Engineering lifecycle documentation
Confident and experienced in leading technical meetings and presentations
Strong attention to detail, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Proficient with computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Certain projects within this role may require successful completion of a vision assessment (20/20 near vision, corrected or uncorrected) and a colour-perception test.
