Insight Global us looking for a Project Manager to join a large railway transformation initiative. This is an extraordinary chance to be at the forefront of one of Canada's most monumental projects, where your proficiency and guidance will shape its success.

Responsibilities

Establishes construction infrastructure, define Means & Methods, Identify critical path.

Establishing and maintaining project budget

Enforces change procedures

Establishes schedule and staffing plans

Executes contracts and agreements in a timely and cost-effective manner

Chairs project management meetings with a focus on the best outcomes for the project.

Ensures all project reporting is accurate and timely

Oversees testing, quality, and safety

Manages client and vendor relationship

Project risks and issues are logged and managed

Ensures all project close-out activities are completed in a timely manner

Demonstrates commercial acumen to protect profits and improve margins

Business development, including participation in costing and estimating activities and risk analysis

Financial forecasting and contributing to creation of revenue targets.

Perform Design/Drawing review.

Skills and Requirements

Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, or equivalent discipline

Knowledge and/or experience of the rail industry is preferred.

Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in civils construction, track, buildings, Utilities, M&E;, or related disciplines is required.

General knowledge of non-residential construction methods, building systems, and terminology

Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines for normal functions and special assignments.

Proficiency using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access) is essential, experience of using estimating software is preferred.

Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Skilled at building positive working relationships with internal and external clients

Good listening and communication skills - PMP certification
