Full time | Old Montreal
Salary: $55,000–$65,000/year, depending on experience
About Us
Espaces Properties is a Montreal-based real estate ownership and management company overseeing a diverse portfolio of hospitality, residential and commercial properties.
Our portfolio includes short-term rental properties such as Maison François-Denis and Hotel Apart Prince Arthur, long-term residential properties, commercial spaces, and our signature property, Manoir Emery, a five-star boutique hotel.
This position is based out of our head office in Old Montreal and will work closely with ownership across the day-to-day operations of the portfolio.
The Role
We are looking for a reliable, highly organized and proactive individual to become a key right hand to ownership.
This is a role with significant autonomy. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, thinks logically, anticipates problems and follows through without requiring constant direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of multiple properties and respond to guest, residential and commercial tenant requests.
- Ensure properties are consistently maintained to a high standard of functionality, presentation and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular property inspections and oversee preventive maintenance, building systems and recurring service schedules.
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers and repairs from initial issue through completion, ensuring proper follow-up.
- Troubleshoot real-time operational issues, determine practical solutions and coordinate with our on-site property support employee when hands-on assistance is required.
- Provide administrative support to ownership, including organization, documentation, scheduling and follow-ups,
while working across various property-management and operational software platforms.
What We're Looking For
- Reliable, organized and accountable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through.
- Proactive and solution-oriented — someone who anticipates issues rather than simply reacting to them.
- Strong judgment and a thoughtful, logical approach to problem-solving, including under pressure.
- Comfortable working independently, learning new systems and taking ownership with a high degree of autonomy.
Assets / Nice to Have The following are not requirements, but would be considered strong assets:
- Experience in property management, hospitality or real estate operations.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Guesty, Mews, Airbnb or similar property-management systems.
- Basic website/CMS knowledge and strong general software/technical abilities.
- General understanding of construction, building systems, maintenance, access control or building technology, including experience coordinating contractors and trades.
Compensation
$55,000–$65,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
Nature of the Role
This is not a purely desk-based administrative position, nor is it primarily a maintenance position. It is a coordination, management and problem-solving role for someone comfortable moving between the office, properties, contractors, tenants and technology.
The right person will become a trusted right hand to ownership — someone who doesn't simply report problems, but takes ownership of them, finds solutions and ensures they are properly resolved.
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
Benefits
- Flexible schedule
- Paid time off
