MT Services is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant specializing in Patents to support the Intellectual Property team at McCarthy Tétrault in Vancouver, British Columbia. This full-time role requires strong skills in patent and trademark applications.

In this permanent position, you will leverage over five years of experience in Intellectual Property, particularly in patents and trademarks, while managing various applications. You will work closely with the team, providing support throughout the prosecution lifecycle, managing electronic files, and preparing necessary correspondence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file applications with CIPO, USPTO, and WIPO
• Manage docket deadlines for the Senior Partner and team
• Liaise with foreign agents for filing in other jurisdictions




• Maintain the PATTSY database and ensure file accuracy
• Support training of team members and manage invoices

Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Legal Assistant
• Diploma in office or business administration
• Robust communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of discretion and confidentiality
• Proven ability to deliver quality work and support teamwork
