The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the day-to-day Human Resources function, providing leadership and direction to a team of HR professionals.
Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations, performance management, attendance, disciplinary matters, and workplace issues.
Oversee full-cycle recruitment and on boarding initiatives.
Ensure compliance with applicable Ontario employment legislation, company policies, and workplace regulations.
Oversee the employee benefits and total rewards, compensation programs.
Support workplace health and safety initiatives and work closely with management to promote a protected and compliant work workplace.
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks.
Coach and develop the HR team, establishing priorities, providing ongoing support, and ensuring high-quality service to employees and management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
5+ years' experience in Human Resources
Strong knowledge of HR legislation
Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
Robust organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
Attention to detail and good judgement
