We''re looking for reliable, physically fit individuals to join a residential waste collection team as Garbage Truck Helpers.
This is a physically demanding, outdoor position involving residential waste & recycling collection in all weather.
Candidates will work in close proximity to a moving vehicle and powered equipment and must be comfortable working around residential waste. THE JOB Ride on the rear of the garbage collection truck Dismount at residential collection stops Move and attach waste bins to the truck''s loading equipment / manually load recyclables into the truck Handle and move waste bins throughout the day Follow all workplace health and safety procedures Perform other general duties as required WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY $18/hr + 4% vacation pay Monday to Friday schedule with some Saturdays required Anticipated 2-month assignment with potential for full time employment Weekly pay by direct deposit REQUIREMENTS Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs Physically capable of handling and moving waste bins throughout the day without assistance Comfortable riding on the rear of a waste collection truck Comfortable repeatedly getting on and off the truck throughout the day Reliable and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong commitment to workplace safety 8'' CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots REFER TALENT, GET REWARDED Know someone already working with Integrated Staffing?
