Westcorpis seeking aSuite Renovation Team Lead. The idealcandidateis aworking carpenter wholeadsbyexampleon the tools. This role performs the full scope of renovation and carpentry tasks while guiding crew members tomaintainquality and meet timelines.
The Team
Lead works directly alongside the renovation team every day and is fully involved in hands-on construction work. This position provides light,on-siteoversight of contractors, including notingno-showsandidentifyingworkmanship concerns, with any issues communicated to the Sr.
Regional Property
Manager. Responsibility for scheduling, coordination, and overall contractor managementremainswith the management team. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys taking the lead whileremainingfully engaged in the physical work of suite renovations.

Primary Key Responsibilities
- Lead the renovation team in all aspects of suite renovations, including, but not limited to,demolition, preparation, disposal, framing, rough carpentry,building,installation of doorsand door frames, hardware, closets, and shelving,lights and other minor electrical work, tile work, shower enclosures, installation of appliances,and all finishing carpentry work.
- Work hands-oninall renovation activities while providing day-to-daydirection and support to renovation staff.
- Perform general interior repairs within the buildings, and occasionallyatour other Edmontonproperties when required,to support ongoing operational needs.
- Monitor contractor attendance and basic on-site performance concerns and relay issues to the Sr.Regional Property Manager.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout renovation sites.
- Collaborate effectively with the Sr.Regional Property Manager and renovation team to achieve qualityworkand timeline expectations.
- Ensure comprehension and adherence to allWestcorppolicies, procedures, and Playbook standards.
- Ensure all work is performed safely, professionally, and in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Sr.Regional Property Manager.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Minimum five years of professional carpentry experience. Journeyman carpentry ticketan asset.
- Demonstratedexpertisein:
- Residential framing and finishing, including installation of doors and frames - Drywall installation, taping, and mudding - Exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring others in a construction or renovation setting.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple renovation tasks simultaneously.
- Professionalism, reliability, and dedication to delivering top-quality results.
- Strong communicationskills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
- High physical capability, including the ability to lift, carry, and move renovation materials (e.g., drywall, doors, lumber).
- Proficient computer skills, with the ability to work effectively in a primarily paperless environment.WeutilizeMicrosoft Teams, Outlook, and digital forms.
- Must have own tools.
- Must have own vehicle and a valid driver's license.
- Security clearancerequiredupon offer of employment.
