Join Leary Integrated Arts & Technology Elementary School as a Child and Youth Care Worker. Provide essential support for students with behavioral challenges and collaborate with teachers and parents.

This temporary casual position requires assisting teachers and engaging with students who have severe behavioral issues. You will develop strategies to reinforce social skills, plan behavior management programs, and work closely with the School Based Team and parents. The role demands effective communication and teamwork to ensure student success and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies for personal/social behavior improvement
• Implement behavior management programs with observation and follow-up




• Consult with school support services and parents
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students
• Organize recreational activities and supervise workshops

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or equivalent
• Over one year experience with children experiencing behavior disorders
• Valid B.C. Class 5 driver's license
• Robust communication and human relations skills
• Ability to support students in crisis situations

Provide guidance and support for students' growth in social skills at Leary School.
