We work with Ontario Certified Teachers and experienced educators to deliver individualized, student-centered instruction across Math, English, Science, ESL, and more.

The Role
We're launching a new in-person small-group tutoring program in Vaughan (near Weston Rd & Major Mackenzie Dr) this September, and we're looking for passionate Math and/or Science Tutors to lead our small groups.

Whether you specialize in Math , Science , or can teach both , this is a part-time contract role ideal for a certified teacher or experienced educator looking for consistent, well-paid evening work close to home. Candidates able to teach both subjects will be prioritized for additional hours.

What the role looks like:

In-person small groups: Tuesday evenings, 6:00–7:00 PM, starting September 2026. Maximum 4 students per group — real teaching, not crowd control.

Subjects needed: Ontario curriculum Math (Grades 1–12, including Functions & Calculus) and/or Science (Grades 1–12, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics).

Optional online 1-on-1 sessions: Additional flexible schedule tutoring students online, based on your availability and student demand.

Pay: $25–$30/hour to start , based on qualifications and experience. Higher compensation is open to discussion for candidates with strong experience or high-demand subject expertise (e.g., senior Chemistry, Physics, Advanced Functions, or Calculus),

and rates grow with performance.

What you'll do:

Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Math or Science instruction in a small-group setting

Adapt explanations, demystify complex concepts, and adjust pacing to each student's level within the group

Build academic confidence and foster problem-solving skills

Track student progress and communicate wins and areas for growth to families

Contribute to a positive, supportive learning environment alongside our team of tutors

What we're looking for:

OCT certification (Ontario Certified Teacher) strongly preferred — our brand promise to parents is professional, certified educators

Strong command of the Ontario Math and/or Science curriculum (Grades 1–12; comfort with senior high school courses in either subject is a major asset)

Dual-subject capability is a huge bonus — teachers who can cover both Math and Science will have access to more hours and students

Prior tutoring or classroom teaching experience

Clear communicator who builds rapport with students and parents from diverse backgrounds

Reliable Tuesday evening availability from September onward

Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one before start date)

Located in or near Vaughan for the in-person sessions

Why join AAT:

Consistent, guaranteed weekly hours with room to grow (additional program nights and online students as we expand)

Rates that grow with you — we reward strong performance and specialized expertise

Small groups capped at 4 — teach the way teaching should work

A growing local company with a 5.0 reputation and a supportive team of 17+ tutors

September start — interviews happening now
