Become a vital part of the Senate as a Maintenance Person specializing in janitorial services. This term position is based in Ottawa and focuses on light cleaning duties around the Parliamentary buildings.
Join the Property and Services Directorate at the Senate of Canada, where your role will enhance the upkeep of our historic buildings. You will perform essential light cleaning tasks such as waste management, dusting, and vacuuming, while ensuring the maintenance of heritage furniture. This is a six-month term position with a Monday to Friday schedule from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform light cleaning tasks in Senate buildings
• Manage waste and recycling effectively
• Dust and vacuum Parliamentary offices
• Maintain and care for heritage furniture
• Collaborate with the operations team for cleanliness
Requirements:
• Completed secondary school education
• Minimum one year of cleaning experience
• Familiarity with cleaning products and techniques
• Proficient in using cleaning tools and equipment
• Asset: Training in building maintenance or cleaning
