Financial Accounting & Reporting Advisory Consultant Location: Montreal, QC Hybrid Language: Fluent French Mandatory Employment: Full-Time Role Overview We are seeking a Financial Accounting & Reporting Advisory Consultant to join a specialized advisory team in Montreal .
The role will support Canadian financial institutions and public companies in analyzing and resolving complex financial accounting and reporting matters .
The ideal candidate should be interested in being part of the Montreal office team and comfortable working onsite when required .
Key Responsibilities Provide technical advice on financial accounting and reporting matters.
Conduct accounting research and prepare technical accounting memos .
Analyze the impact of recent accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Support projects involving IFRS, ASPE, US GAAP, and public-sector accounting standards .
Assist with complex transactions, corporate reorganizations, and finance transformation initiatives.
Present accounting analyses, findings, and recommendations to client management.
Manage multiple client engagements and deliverables in a consulting environment.
Required Skills & Experience CPA designation or in progress .
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, audit, or consulting.
Strong knowledge of IFRS .
Experience with accounting research and technical memo writing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a consulting environment.
Knowledge of ASPE, US GAAP, internal controls (CSOX/PCAOB), and risk management .
Additional Requirement Fluent French is mandatory.
Candidate should be based in or able to work from the Montreal office when required.
