We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a finance team in Vancouver, British Columbia on a Contract basis.

This contract assignment is expected to run for approximately 2.5 months through the end of November, beginning on a part time schedule of about 15 hours per week with flexibility in days worked.

The successful candidate will support day-to-day payables and general accounting activities while working closely with the Controller and contributing effectively in a small team environment.

Responsibilities: Oversee the shared accounts payable mailbox and organize incoming invoices for timely handling.

Verify invoice details, secure the required internal approvals, and record transactions accurately in the accounting system.

Match invoices to supporting documentation, apply appropriate coding, and maintain accurate financial records.





Prepare and process scheduled payment runs twice each month while ensuring deadlines are met.

Complete vendor statement reconciliations and investigate differences to resolve outstanding issues.

Support bookkeeping tasks related to disbursements, including account reconciliations, accrual entries, and prepaid expense tracking.

Enter banking activity such as fees and other related transactions into the financial system.

Conduct an initial review of employee expense submissions and corporate credit card transactions for completeness and accuracy.

Provide additional accounting assistance to finance leadership as needed, particularly during busier periods such as month-end.
