Make a meaningful impact as an FASD Program Mentor, providing essential support to clients and their families using the Home Visitation Model of Care. Develop and implement comprehensive service plans aimed at family stability and wellbeing.
As a key member reporting to the FASD Coordinator, you will conduct family assessments and coordinate interventions addressing addictions and family dynamics. This role involves creating service plans with clients, facilitating access to community resources, and ensuring advocacy for families with FASD needs. You’ll also be responsible for mentoring both clients and community professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop tailored service plans for families in need
• Conduct family assessments to identify goals and services
• Facilitate access to essential community resources
• Advocate for families within child protection contexts
• Offer mentorship and training for professionals involved
Requirements:
• Certification in Social Work or related field
• One year of experience in addictions services
• Familiarity with First Nations communities
• Robust interviewing and writing skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with clients
