We are seeking an RVT to add to our team at the Wolfville Animal Hospital. We are a well-established, privately owned and respected veterinary clinic located in the beautiful Annapolis Valley- 1 hour outside of Halifax. Our area is full of wonderful farm markets, wineries and a stones throw from many local festivals and live theaters.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with exams and diagnostic procedures
Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed
Perform lab tests, including blood work and urinalysis
Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical procedures
Provide client education and ensure transparent communication regarding treatment plans Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Help with inventory management and ordering of supplies
Foster a compassionate environment for both patients and clients
Qualifications:
Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Nova Scotia
Experience is preferred but a solid work ethic and willingness to learn will be considered
Strong communication skills with both clients and team members
Ability to prioritize tasks
Robust attention to detail and organizational skills
A compassionate, out going, team-oriented attitude
