What you will be doing: Lead the development and evolution of enterprise Voice strategy, architecture, standards, and best practices.
Design highly available, scalable, secure Voice solutions supporting corporate and distributed retail environments.
Engineer, configure, implement, maintain, and optimize complex Voice platforms and applications.
Provide technical leadership around Webex Calling, Webex Contact Center, VoIP, SIP, voice gateways, softphones, and physical phone environments.
Evaluate emerging Voice technologies and recommend solutions that improve reliability, customer experience, employee productivity, and scalability.
Provide advanced Level 2/Level 3 troubleshooting for complex Voice incidents and production outages.
Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective and preventative solutions.
Troubleshoot issues that cross Voice, network, application, and infrastructure domains.
Partner with infrastructure, application development, data, integration, and other technology teams.
Mentor junior engineers and serve as a Voice subject matter expert across the organization.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, architecture, and operating procedures.
Identify opportunities to automate Voice administration and operational processes.
Participate in an on-call rotation and assist with major production incidents when necessary.
What you must have: Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 7+ years of progressive enterprise Voice engineering experience.
Significant experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Voice systems in a large,
multi-site enterprise environment.
Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco Webex Calling.
Strong experience with Webex Contact Center / Webex call center environments.
Expert-level understanding of VoIP and SIP.
Experience designing and configuring complex enterprise Voice and Contact Center solutions.
Strong networking fundamentals, including: Ethernet and VLANs TCP/IP and UDP DNS and DHCP NAT ARP Experience troubleshooting Voice issues involving networks, gateways, endpoints, applications, softphones, and physical phones.
Robust understanding of Voice availability, performance, scalability, and security.
Experience performing root cause analysis for complex production incidents.
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with engineers, business stakeholders, and leadership.
Ability to independently lead technical initiatives while collaborating effectively across teams.
Nice to have: CCNP Collaboration or comparable professional-level certification.
Experience with automation and scripting technologies such as Python or Ansible.
Experience supporting Voice infrastructure across hundreds of geographically distributed locations.
Experience supporting organizations undergoing rapid expansion, acquisitions, or technology transformation.
Previous experience mentoring or providing technical leadership to other engineers.
