We are seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Estimating Student forour Toronto District that is available for 4 to 8 months starting in January 2027 .

Heres how a Mechanical & Electrical Estimating Student at our Toronto office contributes to the team: Responsibilities Understand and utilize PCLs estimating manuals, systems and forms.

Review quantity survey assignment with lead estimator or Chief Estimator.

Gets the chance to perform assigned quantity survey and transfer quantities to the lead estimator.

Provides quantities of major purchase items to purchasing department for pricing.

Creates an impact by performing general subtrade solicitation duties and helping with bid document control.

Has the opportunity to perform bid day assignments.

Experiences visiting the job sites periodically.

Develops relationships with subcontractors.

Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications Candidates must have taken a building envelope or building science course, and understand the fundamental control layers required within the building envelope (i.e. air, water, vapour and thermal control)



Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment, able to read architectural drawings, and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.

Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.

The estimated hourly range for this role is $21.37- $31.33, based on your experience and qualifications.
