Contribute to mental health and legal intersections as a Registered Nurse in North Bay. This role focuses on forensic nursing, psychiatric assessments, and community outreach.
As part of the North Bay Regional Health Centre, you will deliver specialized care to adults with serious mental illness involved with the law. This position requires 2-3 years of experience with a strong foundation in forensic nursing, risk management, and psychiatric disorders. You will also work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient reintegration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide court-related psychiatric assessments and treatment
• Facilitate community outreach and support services
• Collaborate with inter-professional teams for patient care
• Conduct Mental Status Exams and health teaching
• Engage with families and community partners in care planning
Requirements:
• Certificate of Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current BLS Certification for Health Care Providers
• 2-3 years experience with responsible mental illness
• Knowledge of Forensic legal frameworks
• Valid G driver’s license for travel
