From $4,957.25 to $5,471.88 per month based on degree and experience

Location: SASKATOON

Employment Terms: Temporary: Full-Time

Length of Employment: Temporary, full time, in-scope term position to March 31, 2027; possibility of extension

Education: University Bachelor's Degree

Family Service Saskatoon is seeking a passionate & community-minded Community Connector to strengthen relationships between individuals, families, & support services across Saskatoon. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building trust, fostering inclusion, & helping people navigate resources that improve their well-being.

Responsibilities

Build meaningful relationships with individuals, families, & community groups

Actively participate in outreach activities, events, & initiatives across Saskatoon

Identify gaps in service & advocate for community needs

Help community members access services related to mental health, family support, housing, employment, & more

Build & maintain relationships with stakeholders to support project goals & sustainability.

Work closely with internal teams & external partners

Support projects that promote inclusion, equity, & community wellness.





Share information about our programs and services through outreach, social media, & community networks.

Develop & distribute promotional materials.

Maintain accurate records of outreach activities & community interactions.

Administrative/record keeping duties

Able to work independently & as a team

Perform work outside of regular operating hours, including evenings &/or weekends

Perform other duties needed

Education
BSW, Education, Community Development, or a related field

Knowledge

Experience in community outreach, social services, or related fields

Strong interpersonal & communication skills

Knowledge of Saskatoons community landscape & social service systems

Cultural competency & experience working with diverse populations

Proficiency in digital communication tools & social media

Lived experience or deep understanding of barriers faced by marginalized communities

Culturally sensitive & adept at working with Indigenous, immigrant, refugee, & newcomer populations

Valid drivers license & access to a personal vehicle

This position is in-scope, CUPE Local 5316.

Final candidates are required to provide satisfactory criminal record checks including a vulnerable sector search.
