The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency is seeking an Oncology Assistant to provide support in medical, radiation oncology, and hematology. This role involves patient care under the supervision of qualified Oncologists and Hematologists. Responsibilities span across inpatient assessments, outpatient follow-ups, and coordination of treatment plans, contributing to holistic patient management.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in admissions and symptom management for patients
Conduct follow-up evaluations and patient assessments
Collaborate closely with oncologists and hematologists
Coordinate ancillary services related to patient care
Provide after-hours support for clinical needs
Requirements:
Medical degree from WHO or FAIMER recognized university
Passed Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Exam part one
Current ACLS certification or equivalent
Successful completion of interview and reference checks
Proficiency in English as required by the College of Physicians
