BOOKKEEPER
Location: Mississauga, ON | Full-Time | On-Site
Are you an experienced bookkeeping professional who enjoys taking ownership of financial processes and ensuring the numbers are accurate, organized, and up to date?

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team in Mississauga. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident managing day-to-day accounting activities, supporting financial reporting, and working closely with management in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records and support the overall integrity of financial data.

Prepare, review, and post journal entries and other accounting transactions.

Complete bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed.

Process and maintain records related to invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial transactions using accounting software.

Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure deadlines and reporting requirements are met.

Prepare financial reports and statements to support management with business decisions.

Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

Ensure financial processes follow established accounting principles, internal controls, and applicable regulations.

Work closely with management and internal teams to provide accurate financial information and insights.





Liaise with external partners, including auditors and other stakeholders, and assist with audit and compliance requirements.

What We're Looking For

Several years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience.

Strong hands-on experience with general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and day-to-day bookkeeping.

Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and supporting financial reporting.

Proficiency with accounting software and the ability to efficiently manage financial transactions and reports.

A solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or a similar fast-paced industry is considered an asset.

Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

A professional designation or certification, such as CPA or Certified Bookkeeper (CB), is an asset.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, management, and external partners.
