Your impact
As a Procurement Professional at Jacobs, you will play a key role in delivering complex projects by developing sourcing strategies, administering purchase orders. Your ability to build strong supplier relationships and execute procurement activities will directly contribute to project success, cost effectiveness, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
Procurement Execution

Prepare RFQs, bidder lists, and bid evaluations.

Administer purchase orders, procurement agreements, and modifications.

Coordinate procurement activities to support project objectives.

Commercial & Contract Management

Develop subcontract flow-down requirements.

Identify and mitigate procurement risks.

Resolve supplier and subcontract issues.

Review invoices for compliance.

Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation

Recommend source selections.

Develop negotiation strategies.

Lead commercial negotiations.

Project Support

Support proposal development.

Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders.





Serve as lead buyer or procurement coordinator on assigned projects.

Maintain project procurement files for audit compliance

Knowledge Sharing

Guide less experienced procurement professionals.

Educate stakeholders on procurement processes.

Here’s what you'll need
Professional Competencies

Demonstrates advanced knowledge of procurement and subcontracting practices and applies that knowledge to complex sourcing and contract administration activities

Independently analyzes procurement challenges, develops solutions, and exercises sound business judgment in resolving commercial issues

Builds strong working relationships with project teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Effectively manages competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and attention to detail

Demonstrates strong negotiation, communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills

Identifies procurement‑related risks and proactively develops mitigation strategies

Communicates effectively with stakeholders across multiple disciplines, functions, and geographic regions

Leadership Expectations

Works independently with minimal supervision and guidance provided only for the most complex situations

Serves as a resource and mentor to less experienced procurement professionals and stakeholders





May lead procurement activities for medium to large projects, sourcing initiatives, or cross‑functional teams

Promotes continuous improvement and shares procurement best practices across project and functional teams

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Typically 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, purchasing, subcontract administration, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management

Experience managing procurements for qualified services, construction services, equipment, and/or materials in a project‑based environment

Working knowledge of commercial contracting principles, procurement best practices, and supplier management processes

Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
