- You have the judgment and discretion to work with a discerning clientele and understand the level of service expected in a premium retail environment.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in retail, sales or customer service, along with a demonstrated ability to drive sales and achieve goals.
- You're comfortable working independently or as part of a team, taking initiative and assuming ownership of your responsibilities.
- You communicate confidently, professionally and respectfully with customers, both in person and through phone and email.
- You're comfortable with computers, POS systems and everyday technology.
- You can type efficiently and accurately.
- You can provide verifiable references from previous employers.
- Experience with furniture, interiors or design is an asset, but not required.
- You're comfortable handling and assembling furniture and are able to lift up to 50 lbs.

To Stand Out

- You have established relationships within Toronto's interior design community and an ability to develop trade business.

What You Will Do

- Deliver exceptional customer service and represent Nirvana as a primary point of contact for customers in the showroom.
- Proactively engage customers and use a consultative approach to understand their needs, recommend products and close sales.
- Take ownership of your individual sales goals while contributing to the overall performance of the store.
- Develop strong product knowledge and confidently communicate product features, options, materials and benefits.
- Prepare orders accurately and ensure customer information, product specifications and payment details are properly recorded.
- Follow up with customers on inquiries, quotations, orders and after-sales matters.
- Respond professionally to customer inquiries by phone and email.
- Maintain the presentation and organization of the showroom throughout the day.
- Support day-to-day store operations, including receiving inventory, merchandising, cleaning and organizing.
- Assist with furniture handling and assembly when required.
- Follow store procedures and uphold loss-prevention practices.

Schedule & Compensation

- Full-time position.
- Weekend availability, including both Saturday and Sunday, is required.
- Flexibility for occasional additional hours and schedule changes is required, particularly during the holiday season.
- October through February is our peak retail period, and vacation availability is limited during this time.
- Starting pay is $18.00 per hour during training.
- Following training, compensation includes base hourly pay plus commission tied to individual sales performance and overall business milestones. Details will be discussed during the interview process.
