Become an integral part of the House of Commons as an Audio-Visual Production Technician, working five days on-site. Support parliamentary broadcasts and events with technical expertise in multimedia services.
The House of Commons’ Digital Services and Real Property is searching for dedicated technicians to join its team. This role is crucial for the delivery of high-quality multimedia services to Members of Parliament and during events. You will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting advanced audio-visual systems under the guidance of experienced directors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and test audio-visual and broadcast systems
• Coordinate with clients for seamless production support
• Operate technical components during live broadcasts
• Troubleshoot equipment to ensure reliability
• Collaborate with external partners for successful events
Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma in audio-visual technologies
• Experience with live production and multi-camera broadcasting
• Proficient in videoconferencing and public address systems
• Strong communication skills in bilingual settings
• Ability to work shifts and on-call during events
