Join the Downtown West Flexible Assertive Community Treatment Team at CAMH as a full time Occupational Therapist, dedicated to supporting adults with severe mental illness through innovative clinical services.
This temporary role, lasting until September 10, 2027, involves a client-centered approach and teamwork within an inter-professional setting. You will be crucial in coordinating care, creating treatment plans, and engaging with diverse clients facing concurrent disorders. Experience in emergency psychiatry and crisis intervention is essential to successfully assist clients in attaining their highest level of functioning in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess client needs through psychiatric evaluations
• Develop and monitor personalized treatment plans
• Coordinate care with inpatient teams for hospitalized clients
• Provide education support and supervision to students
• Engage in research to enhance program services
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• Three years of experience with serious mental illness
• Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
• Solid understanding of recovery principles
• Bilingualism in French or other languages is an asset
