- Design electrical and electronic circuits for current products
- Participate in the selection of electrical/electronic components
- Develop and assemble prototype circuits using microcontrollers
- Develop test plans and participate in the commissioning of electronic circuits
- Participate in design reviews
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date design documentation
- Design products while considering the capabilities and constraints of the manufacturing facility (DFM)
- Conduct pre-certification testing and support product certification (UL, CE)
- Provide second-level technical support to the technical services team for electrical/electronic issues
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and programming
- Participate in all stages of development, from technology exploration through production launch
- Work under the guidance of a senior engineer during design reviews, component selection, and testing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (completed or in progress)
- 0-3 years of relevant experience (internships and academic projects count)
- Member of the OIQ, or eligible and committed to becoming a member
- Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written
- Curiosity, thoroughness, and a desire to learn in a real-world manufacturing environment
- Assets include: knowledge of Altium software
- Assets include: exposure to microcontrollers and microprocessors
- Assets include: experience with product certification (UL, CE)
