**Job Title: Reach Truck and Order Picker Operator**
**Job Description**
This role involves safely operating a reach truck and order picker in a busy plumbing distribution warehouse, performing material handling tasks, and supporting shipping, receiving, and general warehouse operations.

You will spend most of your time on material handling equipment while also performing some physically demanding work, including lifting and manual handling of products.
**Responsibilities**
Operate reach trucks and order pickers safely and efficiently within a busy plumbing distribution environment.

Follow all safety standards and procedures at all times, including the proper use of harnesses and other safety equipment.

Use RF scanners to accurately pick, scan, and track inventory and orders.

Perform shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading trucks and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.

Handle packing tasks to prepare orders for shipment in a protected and organized manner.

Operate warehouse forklifts, including counterbalance equipment, to move and organize materials.

Carry out general material handling and general labor tasks as required, including manual lifting of items up to and above 50 lbs.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with warehouse standards.

Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily productivity and accuracy targets.

Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies to the appropriate personnel promptly.
**Essential Skills**
Minimum 2+ years of experience operating material handling equipment, specifically reach trucks and order pickers.

Minimum 2+ years of warehouse forklift experience.

Proficiency using RF scanners for picking, shipping, and receiving activities.

Demonstrated experience in shipping, receiving, loading, and packing within a warehouse environment.

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding material handling and general labor tasks.

Comfort working on material handling equipment for the majority of the shift while also completing manual tasks.

Strong commitment to following safety procedures, including the use of harnesses and other protective equipment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Forklift certification is a strong asset.

Experience operating a combilift is an asset.

Previous experience in a busy distribution or plumbing-related warehouse environment is beneficial.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and documentation.

**Work Environment**
This position is based in a busy plumbing distribution warehouse where you will spend most of your time operating material handling equipment such as reach trucks, order pickers, and forklifts.

The role requires regular lifting of items weighing 50+ lbs and performing general labor and material handling tasks.

The standard shift runs Monday to Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The facility follows strict safety standards, including the use of harnesses when required, and provides an onsite gym for employee use.

The environment is fast-paced, physically active, and team-oriented, with a focus on safe and efficient handling of products throughout the warehouse.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vaughan, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.47 - $22.47/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
