Employment tenure
Staffing needs include opportunities for permanent, temporary, and casual employment (note: casual work is offered for a fixed duration not exceeding 90 working days in the same calendar year).

Salary
From $31.24 to $33.95 per hour, in addition to annual allowances such as a $2,140 Correctional Service Specific Duty Allowance (CSSDA) and an Inmate Training Differential.

Who can apply
Persons residing in Canada, and Canadian citizens and Permanent residents abroad.

Must be willing and able to work and lift tools, equipment and objects weighing at least 50 lbs when required (candidates may be required to pass a physical test in relation to this condition).

Must be willing and able to work in a 24/7 operational setting.

Must possess and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license.

Operational Requirements

Must be willing to work overtime and flexible hours.

Must be willing to perform duties at any of the locations within the cluster for which this position serves.

Must be willing to work in correctional facilities.

Must be willing to work with and/or mentor inmates, as needed.

Willingness and ability to go to various places (e.g. confined spaces, roofs, construction sites, etc.).
