COMMENCING: As soon as can be arranged and will end November 20, 2026, or one day prior to the return of the incumbent, whichever occurs first. This teaching position requires an individual who embraces our divisional Multi Year Strategic Plan through collaboration and effective and inclusive educational practices that are student centred and data driven.

The ideal candidate qualifications include:

valid journeyperson certificate in Esthetics will be an asset

be enrolled in or have completed a provincially recognized teaching certificate program including Vocational Teacher Education Certificate

successful teaching experience and a range of industry experience

experience participating in and coaching students’ participation in industry competitions or shows

demonstrate an ability to form positive partnerships within the industry

demonstrate leadership and organizational skills

Practice to develop and support communication and relationship skills with Students, Parents, and Colleagues.





Employs strategies to include student voice and choice

Effective communication with caregivers

Managing conflict

Practice to develop and implement an effective instructional process.

Demonstrates infusion of Indigenous ways of being and knowing

Demonstrates equity-centred practice and inclusive pedagogy

Demonstrates understanding of pedagogical practices that positively influence individual student learning such as differentiation

Demonstrates understanding of curriculum and use of data in planningDemonstrates effective use of ICT as a teaching tool

Practice to develop and implement effective assessment strategies.

Demonstrates use of learner centred assessment strategies

Demonstrates use of assessment data to inform instruction

Commitment to professional development.

Demonstrates commitment to professional learning through the application of learning to their practice

Ability to make connections between MYSP and their professional learning

Ability to critically reflect on practice to inform skilled growth, particularly around inclusive programming

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

A Classroom Limited Teaching Permit will be required if not currently certified to teach (the Division will assist the successful candidate in applying for this permit).

Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search.

Clear report from the Child Abuse Registry.

Respect In School or Commit to Kids certification.

Review and comply with divisional policies and guidelines.
