The
real estate coordinator performs property management and negotiation functions
of a less-complex nature, which includes new agreements, amendments, renewals,
rental reviews, lease administration, property valuations, inspections,
overseeing tenant operations, and enforcing compliance with contractual terms.

Provides support for due diligence and feasibility programs, purchase and sale
transactions and development projects.

Verifies input to property management
systems and performs other assigned duties as required.
**What success looks like**
Administerslease and licence agreements of a less-complex nature, as well as, newagreements, amendments, renewals, surrenders, rent reviews, easements and otheragreements for the utilization of VFPA property, in accordance with VFPApolicies, guidelines and practices
Inspectsand reports on VFPA properties, tenant improvements, including new constructionand alterations to ensure compliance with agreement terms
Preparesroutine valuation reports and rental proposals.

Carries out market rentalsurveys and reviews independent appraisal reports.





Prepares submissions tomanagement in support of lease or rental review proposals
Reviewsproperty agreements for completeness and accuracy.

Verifies input to propertymanagement systems
Fieldsreal estate inquiries.

Liaises with brokers, prospective tenants, and otherexternal stakeholders
Providesreal estate input to Project Review Permit Applications and otherorganizational projects or initiatives
Provides support onproperty due diligence, obtaining inputs from other departments, liaising withbrokers and other external stakeholders, and transaction closing procedures
Provides support on newagreements, amendments, renewals, surrenders, rent reviews, easements, brokerlisting agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other agreements related toacquisition or disposition transactions
Provides support ondevelopment projects including site due diligence and feasibility programs,communicating and coordinating with other departments, communicating andcoordinating with brokers and other external stakeholders, creating and editingmarketing materials
Provides support,research and investigations relating to due diligence and feasibility programstogether with ensuring all materials are appropriately catalogued andaccessible
Assistswith the coordination of Access to Information Inquiries by reviewing VFPAproperty records and documents to ensure appropriate confidentiality.

Assistsauditors and special examiners, as required
Performsother assigned duties as required
**Qualifications**
Adiploma in Urban Land Economics, or equivalent, along with a minimum of two (2)years experience in a real property management role, including a minimum of one(1) year experience supporting marketing of vacant sites, creating andcoordinating real estate marketing materials, and working with the brokeragecommunity.

Excellentcommand of Microsoft Word and Excel is required, and working knowledge of

Shop required.

Experiencein database software would be an asset.

Musthave excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability toliaise effectively and positively with both staff and outside contacts.

Demonstratedaptitude and ability for tactful and diplomatic communication, along with solidanalytical abilities.





Must be a highly motivated and proactive individual witha robust orientation to customer service.

Must be committed to a philosophy ofcontinuous improvement in all work processes.

Musthave high attention to detail and commitment to a high degree of accuracy andquality of work.

Requiresexcellent written and verbal communication skills.
**Salary:**
The
starting rate for this position is $51.43 per hour, with scheduled wage
progression in accordance with the International Longshore and Warehouse Union
(ILWU) Local 517 collective agreement.

Based on a 37.5-hour work week.
**Location:**
Vancouver, Canada
**Job type:**
Bargaining Unit, Full-Time, Temporary, Hybrid
**Working setting:**
Normal office conditions with occasional field inspections of VFPA
properties is required.
**Marine

this position is required to access restricted areas/information as defined by
the Marine Transportation Security Regulations.
