TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Material Handling Engineer role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities: Prepare engineering designs, equipment layouts, and technical calculations for bulk material transport and handling systems.

Support project delivery by contributing to scope definition, engineering work plans, technical documentation, and design development activities.

Evaluate and specify mechanical equipment while ensuring designs align with project objectives.

Monitor material quantities, key engineering metrics, and project deliverables while providing updates on progress and anticipated changes.

Participate in procurement activities including technical bid evaluations, equipment selection reviews, and supplier document assessments.

Review engineering packages, vendor submissions, and third-party deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.





Support cost estimating, proposal preparation, change management, and identification of scope adjustments throughout the project lifecycle.

Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications: Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Experience with industrial material handling systems and equipment.

Knowledge of conveyors, crushers, screens, and bulk loading/unloading equipment.

Ability to perform engineering calculations and equipment selection activities.

Familiarity with engineering standards and mechanical design practices.

Experience reviewing vendor documentation and supporting procurement processes.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Proficiency with standard office and engineering software.

Experience with conveyor design software and related standards is an asset.

Field or site-based industrial experience is considered an asset.
