**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
**Traffic Coordinator**
to join our team! In this role you will assist with traffic design, modeling and analysis for the Edmonton Valley Line West LRT project.
The Traffic Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the development of comprehensive solutions for today's roadway challenges and respond to in-process changes as they happen.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
Plan and design Traffic Accommodation Plans and Strategies for construction usage
Ensure Traffic Plans adhere to applicable traffic laws and guidelines, including rail, RAC, Alberta Transportation, and the City of Edmonton, on regulatory compliance requirements (interpretation of rules as written in legal codes) and rules matters such as changes to the existing documentation
Conduct traffic impact analyses, assisting with the design, technical report writing, traffic modeling and the creation of construction documentation
Sequence major construction phases and monitor the scheduling implications to the overall project
Provide input to ensure that proposed designs and solutions serve to move the most traffic in an effective manner without jeopardizing safety
Review Survey Drafters designs and oversee Field Surveyors during traffic control implementation ensuring construction work areas and traffic alignments are accurate and as per the plan
Coordinate traffic design resources
Participate in client meetings, presentations and public workshops
Ensure that all documentation is current and adheres to audit and document control practices
Evaluate input into Traffic Plans from the City and other stakeholders
Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of any changes, delays,
or concerns in a timely manner and offer solutions to mitigate impact
Provide input on the budget, schedule, fiscal, and quality aspects of the project
Submit purchase requests and supporting documentation
Follow the project Operating Notices format and process
Ensure compliance with local government OH&S; regulations
Compile data and reporting on project cost variances or delays and lane closure reporting
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience, as well as 3+ years of experience in field construction is required.
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, Share
Point, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Excel, Bluebeam, and Word.
Previous experience with Aconex is an asset.
Good knowledge of Alberta traffic signaling regulations
