As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will be a member of the interdisciplinary team where you are responsible for providing exemplary patient care by applying regional policies, procedures and work practices within the laboratory department. You will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, effective and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, and performing ECGs. With a customer service focused approach, you build productive and respectful customer relations and take responsibility for customer satisfaction. You have an ability to encourage others, building positive, respectful and collaborative working relationships.

Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous rural experience is an asset.
