Your area of focus.
The Accounting Clerk is a permanent, full-time position for Auto Canada’s Used Digital department. The focus will be on a deal processing from all provinces across Canada as well as general accounting duties as required.
What drives your day-to-day?
Assist Controller in the full-cycle accounting functions across 2 entities
Deal postings (Wholesale and Retail)
Bank reconciliations and associated postings required
Prepare and process journal entries and adjustments to ensure proper recording of all business transactions
Work closely with dealership team members to address any issues such as daily deposits, accounts payable, and any other day to day accounting issues
A/P and A/R duties
Stocking in of inventory into system
Processing cheques and EFT/Wire paymentsCommunicate with vendors
Various monthly remittances
Maintaining monthly schedules
GST/PST Remittances
Assist Controller in financial statement preparation and reporting
Assist Controller with audit requests
Other duties as required
What Are The Must-haves…
This position requires an individual who has strong and reliable time management skills along with effective organizational and team abilities. A passion for working with numbers and experience in the automotive industry are assets as well as:
Post secondary education in accounting or related experience
Familiarity with CDK accounting software is considered an asset
Strong attention to detail
Proficient in Excel
The ability to professionally handle confidential matters and show appropriate level of judgement
Strong communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Automotive experience will be considered an asset
