TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Intermediate Material Handling Designer role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities: Support design coordination activities by communicating technical information and incorporating feedback from stakeholders, fabricators, and project teams.

Assist in the design and arrangement of mechanical systems by considering equipment functionality, process requirements, and site constraints.

Produce accurate 2D fabrication and construction drawings from 3D models, ensuring appropriate dimensions, annotations, and drafting standards.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to drafting quality, design efficiency, and engineering deliverables.

Collaborate with engineering and design teams to support equipment layout development, ensuring practical installation, operation, and maintenance access.





Review and update design documentation throughout project lifecycles to maintain accuracy and consistency with project requirements.

Develop detailed 3D mechanical models for fabricated equipment, structural components, and material-handling systems.

Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience developing 3D models and 2D mechanical drawings.

Strong understanding of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.

Proficiency with 3D CAD software and technical drafting practices.

Experience with Solid

Works, SP3D, Micro

Station, or similar design platforms is an asset.

Knowledge of fabrication, manufacturing, conveyors, or material handling systems is preferred.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with remote and local teams.
