About The Role
Reporting to the Policy Director, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for administrative support for the Policy Department in conducting research, accessing and analyzing existing policies. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for tasks such as organizing meetings, managing office inventory, organizing files, and other administrative duties. They work collaboratively with CHN Directorates and Council.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Establish and maintain effective systems to track data and information.
Review existing policies, identify and analyze issues and prepare written reports to support policy options.
Meeting preparation, minutes, briefing notes, summaries, reviews, and reports.
Assist with citizen consultations and communications.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Work collaboratively with departments, colleagues, and networks.
Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong knowledge of Office 365.
Team experience with good collaborative skills.
Time management skills.
Basic understanding of information systems.
Strong attention to detail.
Office experience is an asset.
Valid B.C. Class 5 drivers license.
Must be willing to travel and attend public events as required.
What We Offer
Hourly rate: $27.62-$31.08 based on experience.
Full-time (35-40 hrs/week) with paid time off, including an additional 2 week office closure during the winter break.
