We are seeking a skilled, dynamic, and highly motivated full-time Golf Professional to join our Athletics Team. As the first Golf Professional based at our Downtown location, you will play a key role in the continued growth and development of the indoor Golf Centre, delivering exceptional year-round golf instruction, programming, and member experiences. You will lead the development of creative golf programs and initiatives that support member engagement, skill development, and retention, while overseeing the effective day-to-day operation of the Golf Centre, including simulators, hitting areas, instructional technology, equipment, and bookings. This role will build strong relationships with members and colleagues, identify opportunities to enhance participation and facility utilization, and collaborate across the Club and Glencoe Golf & Country Club, to support integrated programming and broader organizational priorities.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging golf lessons, clinics, camps, leagues, and social and competitive programming for members of varying ages, skill levels, learning needs, and goals
Create a welcoming, visible, and service-focused Golf Centre experience by maintaining a robust presence during peak periods, building member relationships,
and responding promptly and professionally to feedback and concerns
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Golf Centre, including golf simulators, hitting areas, bookings, instructional technology, equipment, and related programming
Maintain facilities, equipment, and technology to establish standards for safety, functionality, presentation, and member use, including coordinating minor repairs and equipment or supply replacement
Monitor participation, facility utilization, revenue, and other performance metrics to evaluate programming effectiveness, support resource planning, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased off-peak simulator usage
Collaborate with colleagues on operational and capital budgets, program development, and facility needs, while supporting the administration of simulator leagues and other golf initiatives as required
Build effective partnerships across the Club and with Golf Professionals across Glencoe Golf & Country Club to coordinate initiatives, share best practices, and deliver a consistent and exceptional member experience
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Minimum of two years of experience as a skilled golf coach or instructor, with demonstrated ability to teach individuals and groups across a range of ages, skill levels, learning needs, and goals
Active PGA of Canada membership, with a commitment to maintaining qualified standing, advancing technical expertise, and participating in ongoing professional development
Demonstrated knowledge of golf simulators, launch monitor technology, instructional tools,
and emerging trends and best practices in golf technology
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instruction and adapt communication approaches to diverse audiences
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to plan programming, coordinate bookings, manage competing priorities, and remain effective in a busy, dynamic setting
Professional, diplomatic, and collaborative approach, with strong interpersonal and member service skills and the ability to build effective relationships, anticipate member needs, and resolve concerns in a responsive, solution-focused manner. Experience in a private club, member-based, or hospitality-focused workplace is considered an asset

This is a full-time salaried position + commissions, that reports to the Athletics Manager. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.
