Job Description
We are hiring a Business Systems Analyst to support strategic data and reporting initiatives within a Capital Markets technology organization.

This resource will act as a hybrid Business Analyst and Business Systems Analyst, partnering closely with business stakeholders, product owners, data teams, and engineering teams to define requirements, validate data models, and support solution delivery.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Databricks experience and be capable of performing technical analysis, prototyping, and requirements validation while serving as a liaison between business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements from stakeholders.
- Perform hands-on analysis and prototyping within Databricks to validate business logic and data requirements.
- Partner with business users to define reporting, analytics, and data consumption requirements.
- Develop and refine data models that support reporting and business outcomes.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
- Collaborate with data engineers, reporting teams, product owners, and project teams throughout delivery.
- Support metric definition, data governance, and reporting standardization initiatives.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain documentation within Jira and Confluence.
- Serve as the liaison between business and technical teams to ensure successful implementation.

Skills and Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Business Systems Analyst supporting enterprise technology initiatives.
- Hands-on Databricks experience including data analysis, prototyping, and requirements validation.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and discovery.
- Python experience for prototyping and analytical purposes.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and reporting-focused data structures.
- Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog.
- Experience creating user stories, requirements documentation, and supporting Agile teams using Jira and Confluence.
- Robust stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working within a Capital Markets or similar environment. - Corporate Banking or lending domain experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives.
- Experience partnering with business-side data scientists or advanced analytics teams.
- Exposure to data engineering and data warehousing environments.
- Experience working with Azure-based data platforms.
- Experience defining business metrics, data definitions, and reporting requirements.
- Experience supporting data governance or reporting standardization initiatives.
