Join the Mikisew Cree First Nation as a Community Based Monitoring Coordinator in Fort Chipewyan, Alberta. Lead environmental monitoring efforts, coordinate field activities, and support community initiatives.

This full time, temporary role reports to the Environmental Manager and requires strong leadership in managing Community Based Monitoring (CBM) operations. Candidates must showcase their ability in environmental science, logistics coordination, and communication while fostering positive relationships with Indigenous communities and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate CBM field activities across Fort Chipewyan
• Supervise and support CBM Guardians daily
• Organize field logistics and safety equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation and records




• Engage with community members during monitoring initiatives

Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Environmental Science or related fields
• Experience coordinating environmental monitoring activities
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and documentation
• Familiarity with Indigenous cultural protocols
• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and willingness to travel
