As a Temporary Full-Time Registered Practical Nurse, you will assist approximately 200 seniors at Baycrest Terraces. Your role includes the development of resident care plans and collaborating with families to ensure smooth transitions in care. Your experience in gerontological and primary care nursing will be invaluable as you provide empathetic support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emergency and urgent care to residents
• Monitor and educate clients with chronic illnesses
• Assist in community development and individual counselling
• Care for patients with minor episodic illnesses
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for transitions
Requirements:
• Current registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• 2 years of gerontological nursing experience
• 5 years in primary care and acute care
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic skills in Meditech and Office applications
