Job Description:
The ability to manage and perform day-to-day tasks such as data entry, sample set up, analysis and disposal, as well as an awareness for the need to follow safe, established procedures is mandatory
Ensure lab procedures are carried out as efficiently as possible
Recognize and escape any errors found in the reports or processes within scope
Customer service needs are met
Specific Skills & Knowledge:
Concise clear verbal and written English language skills
Quick and accurate keyboarding skills
Proficient with MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint
Strong planning & organization skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Strong commitment to task
Solid multi-tasking skills
Able to work in a dynamic fast paced environment
Able to interact effectively in a team environment
Excellent customer service skills (strong customer focus)

Mechanical aptitude

Familiarity with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
Education & Experience:
Completion of a post secondary education in science,
technical or petroleum field.
Detail orientation with excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
Mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge considered an asset
Previous oil lab or technical experience considered an asset
Important Information:
This position is based out of our Fluid Analysis Lab in West Edmonton on a 5x2 shift. Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day.

Hours and shift schedules that may be subject to change to meet Finning or customer requirements, will be made in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
