We are looking for a Platform Support Specialist for a 3 months contract with high possibility of extension. Role is hybrid with 3 days a week on site in Downtown Toronto.
What You’ll Do Administer and support Cognos, Tableau, and Power BI environments across cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
Manage platform upgrades, patches, configurations, licensing, access, and user administration.
Monitor platform health, capacity, performance, and availability across development, test, and production environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve platform, connectivity, gateway, server, and infrastructure-related issues.
Work closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to maintain secure and reliable environments.
Support high availability, disaster recovery, and operational resilience initiatives.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and support runbooks.
Contribute to continuous improvements in platform stability, performance, and support processes.




What We’re Looking For Hands-on experience administering and supporting enterprise BI/analytics platforms.
Strong experience with one or more of Cognos, Tableau, or Power BI , ideally with exposure to multiple platforms.
Experience supporting production environments , including troubleshooting, monitoring, upgrades, and incident resolution.
Understanding of servers, virtual machines, operating systems, networking, security, and cloud/on-prem infrastructure.
Experience working with enterprise technology, infrastructure, or application support teams.
Robust communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
Key distinction: This is a platform administration/support role , not primarily a BI development or report-building position.
