- Provide strategic advice and support on compensation and compensation-related policies
- Propose integrated solutions to complex compensation issues
- Identify value-generating opportunities and practices requiring adjustment or improvement
- Partner with supported groups and participate in meetings and projects as a compensation expert
- Lead or participate in corporate and national projects involving senior management
- Review or develop tools, policies and programs and oversee their deployment
- Create communication and training materials and support change management
- Conduct total compensation impact analyses with HR, legal services and other business units
- Contribute to skills development within the team and HR community
- Monitor evolving market trends and compensation practices
- Lead training or information sessions
- Participate in regular compensation team operations, including annual audits and compensation and employment conditions surveys
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, actuarial science or relevant field
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in analysis and/or consulting in compensation or human resources
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (required)
- Knowledge of Workday (asset)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking, business acumen and strong ability to influence
- Pragmatism, ability to manage multiple files at once,
and results orientation
- Thoroughness and attention to detail
- Solid complex problem-solving skills
- Professionalism and a high level of discretion
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism (English/French) is required
- For candidates located in Ontario, bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- No Canadian work experience required
- Candidates must maintain work eligibility in Canada throughout employment
