As a skilled Plumber under the Vancouver Island Health Authority, you will report to the Head Plumber or Maintenance Supervisor. Your responsibilities include plumbing maintenance, alterations, repairs, and overseeing designated maintenance staff or contractors. Ensuring patient and staff safety is paramount, and you will also provide training and orientation for apprentices as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems
• Supervise maintenance staff and contractors




• Ensure preventative maintenance on facility equipment
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Provide training to apprentices and designated staff

Requirements:
• Journeyman Plumber certification and Class B Gas Fitter license
• Valid Cross Connection Control Specialist certification
• Two years of related plumbing experience
• Proficient in reading blueprints and drawings
• Ability to prioritize and organize work tasks
