Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain, repair and overhaul heavy vehicles and industrial heavy equipment, and commercial transport
• Troubleshooting system failures.
• Identifying faults or hazards
• Responding to Work Order requests.
• Providing suggestions for equipment replacement.
• Writing mechanical maintenance reports.
• Adhering to safety and performance standards.
• Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment, advising when certain components should be
replaced due to potential risks.
• Keep records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including a record of any supplies ordered
and used in work order system.
• Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and
more complex issues and to reduce costs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to equipment
• Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
• Perform emergency repairs
• Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs
• Maintain a safe and clean work setting
Qualifications:
• Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate, or a recognized trade certificate or
equivalency document.
• A minimum of 2 years of directly related work experience.
• As a condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace
Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.
